Farmer's market

I had grand plans for going to the Dunsmuir House Old Fashioned Easter Egg Hunt again this year and once again we didn't make it.  We did our usual trek to the Farmer's Market.  This year they handed out baskets for the kids to paint. The vendors gave out treats.  We didn't get to the treat part as Wyatt wanted to go to the playground and slide.  We didn't make it to the Lakeshore Derby Parade either, but that's OK because we had fun anyway.

Well, the Easter bunny that was walking around the Farmer's Market was NOT fun according to Wyatt who hid behind me clutching my pant leg.  He kept saying, "No Easter Bunny." over and over again.  We told him that was OK.  He didn't have to see the bunny.  He mentioned the Easter Bunny a good deal that evening.  How he saw him.  How he was scared of him.

I think that kids SHOULD be scared of adults in creepy costumes.

Later on Wyatt and I dyed eggs.  That was kind of a disaster.  We ended up with yellow dye all over the table cloth and cracking a number of eggs.  I think I have eaten six hard boiled eggs since yesterday.  I may have to make egg salad.
