Tub run over

Wyatt wishes his Uncle Chris a happy birthday!

Rus got back from E3 on Friday. Wyatt was very excited to see him. Rus had a very good time at E3. His schedule of games was totally re-arranged once he got down there. He spent the first night on the floor, but was able to swing a bed the rest of the stay. He took a picture of Wyatt and I with him. He says he took it out and looked at it often.

Since we are thinking about buying a house, we took a little drive around the Maxwell Park neighborhood of Oakland to see if it might be a neighborhood that would be good to live in. We excited on High Street from 880 and the surrounding neighborhood was not so nice. Luckily, Maxwell Park is above 580 and is actually a fairly nice neighborhood. Or at least we think we were in Maxwell Park . . . It is north-east of Laurel near Mills College. We also found a really cool website on crime in Oakland called Oakland Crimespotting. Maxwell Park looks pretty good. Definitely, you want to stay above 580. The other area I was thinking of in Temscal doesn't look that bad either.

After that we went to Alameda and had frozen yogurt. We let Wyatt try some. He made such a face with the cold, but he kept opening his mouth when offered more. Then we went to Toy Safari and bought two toys for Wyatt's birthday. It was so hard to keep his hands off everything though. We got him a Plan Toy concertina and this other toy that looks like an apple with worms coming out that you hit with a little mallet.

Wyatt continues to crawl. He is still pretty slow. I don't think that it is easy for him on the hardwood floors, in particular when he has on footed-PJs. He is also using a pincer grasp to pick up food. He does "raspberries" on your cheek. (He is pretty slobbery too.) He has also picked up a new sound - "Ga." I heard him say "ga ga" in the tub. He now goes to bed at 8pm and gets up at 7am.

We have broken the pooping in the tub run too.

Wyatt had a great time with his grandparents being here. I don't think he has ever eaten so well and he was taken on a lot of walks.
